At LegendFiction, the safety and well-being of all members—regardless of age—is our highest priority. Our platform is designed to encourage respectful, responsible, and creative interaction. We take all concerns seriously and respond swiftly to any reported issues. Our team is publicly recognized as community hosts and moderators. Members and parents or guardians can contact us any time through the community, or our public contact form.

Protection of Members Ages 16–18 LegendFiction welcomes writers ages 16 and older, alongside adults of all ages. We do not accept members under the age of 16. Participation by minors is permitted only with active parental or guardian involvement. Parents or guardians are expected to monitor their teen’s activities, communications, and use of the platform. We explicitly affirm that: - Parents or guardians have the right and responsibility to access their child’s account and review all interactions. - Teens have access to youth-specific spaces where adults are not permitted to participate. - At least two moderators are assigned to all youth spaces at all times.

Safe Conversations Do not share personal information such as full name, home address, phone number, or school. LegendFiction team members will never ask for your password. In the event of contest winnings, a LegendFiction team member may request a mailing address to send a prize. No member is ever obligated to provide personal details. Check with an official moderator if you have questions about a conversation or a member. Private direct messages (DMs) are not monitored. Members are responsible for their own private conversations and are under no obligation to respond to anyone. Parental Consent (for Minors): Members under 18 must provide a valid parent or guardian contact email. Parents and guardians are encouraged to check in regularly and communicate openly with their teens about their participation.

Content Guidelines Inappropriate Content: No NSFW, sexually explicit, gory, or graphically violent content is allowed in public areas. All public content must remain PG-13 in tone and language. Sensitive themes (e.g., trauma, abuse, violence) must include a clear content warning. Your Content, Your Rights: You retain ownership of the content you create and share. License to Display By posting content in the community, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and share your work within the platform for community engagement and promotional purposes. Copyright Infringement If you believe your copyrighted work has been used improperly, please contact us with your claim. We will investigate and remove any infringing material as appropriate. AI & Plagiarism Members may use AI tools to assist their creativity, but must disclose such use when sharing stories for anthologies or published content. Plagiarism and/or trying to pass AI-generated content as your own original content for publication is grounds for warning, or removal. Users are responsible for ensuring originality and proper rights management. Beta Features / Platform Changes We may offer beta or experimental features for community feedback. These may change or be removed without notice, and we offer no guarantees of stability or availability.

If LegendFiction is discontinued, we will attempt to notify users in advance. We are not obligated to store or maintain user content indefinitely. Please always back up any content you wish to keep.

Our administration team, comprised of mentors and founders, promptly addresses any concerns or issues raised by members. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of abuse, harassment, or manipulation. Any member found threatening, harming, or exploiting others in a manifestly obvious way will be immediately removed and, if necessary, reported to the appropriate authorities. Members are encouraged to report any instances of misconduct or violation of community guidelines to the administration team immediately. Upon receiving a report, our administration team will document the instance, conduct a thorough investigation and take appropriate action, which may include warning, temporary suspension, or permanent expulsion from the community, depending on the severity of the violation. Any report involving a teen will automatically include a request to contact the parent or guardian for mediation and involvement.

Only absolutely necessary data required for accessing and using our platform is collected. Private messages between members are not accessible to the administration team, ensuring confidentiality and privacy. - Third-Party Platform: LegendFiction operates via Mighty Networks. By joining, users also agree to Mighty Networks’ own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and Compliance Standards. - Service Availability: We are not responsible for outages, downtimes, or feature changes caused by Mighty Networks. - Stripe Data: Financial data is managed entirely by Stripe. You can read Stripe’s Privacy Policy for more details. - Email & Profile Info: We collect minimal data needed to run the community. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

Access to the LegendFiction community, including its courses, events, challenges, and forums, requires an active, paid membership. By subscribing, you agree that:

- All payments are final and non-refundable, regardless of usage or activity level. - Your subscription grants you access for the duration of the billing period (monthly or annually, as selected). - You may cancel your membership at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your current billing cycle. - Failure to maintain an active subscription will result in loss of access to all premium community spaces, resources, and events. - We do not offer partial refunds or prorated billing for unused time. Please review your membership level carefully before subscribing. Ask our team any time if you have questions.

Billing Provider: All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store or manage your payment data directly. Subscription Terms: By joining a paid plan, users agree to recurring billing at the stated interval (monthly/yearly). It is the user’s responsibility to manage their subscription via their account settings. Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled prior to the renewal date. Failed Payments: Access to paid features may be revoked after repeated failed billing attempts.

By participating in the LegendFiction community, you agree to fully release, indemnify, and hold harmless LegendFiction, its founders, moderators, mentors, partners, volunteers, and fellow members from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in connection with your participation in this community—whether known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, under any and all circumstances. LegendFiction is a creative community that includes open participation and private messaging between members. While community standards are upheld and moderation exists in public spaces, private communications between members are not monitored or controlled. All members, including minors, engage at their own risk. For participants under 18 years of age: Participation is permitted only with verified parental or guardian consent. By granting permission, guardians acknowledge that their child may encounter unmoderated private messages and that they assume full responsibility for monitoring their child’s participation. All members, including minors and guardians, agree to: - Review and uphold the Code of Conduct (available on this page) - Understand that private messaging is unmoderated - Use the clearly posted reporting channels to flag any concerning or inappropriate behavior - Accept that participation in the community is voluntary and at their own discretion and risk
