Every year, we host our own group challenge.
Some writers crossed major milestones: Lumena finished the month with 20,759 words, farther than she expected to get. Mickey Kelly hit a clean 32,000 words. K. G. Stevenson wrote 1,207 words on the final day and ended at 30,167 for the month. Brittany Lasseigne came in at 30,009 words.
Steve Gibbs closed with 544 words that day, and named one of the real victories of the month: building the daily habit.
J. P. Haller spent the final day editing instead of drafting, and still counted the month as a good ride that helped get consistent writing moving again.
C. S. Waters added 258 words across a short story and a Saints & Sagas short story. The challenge helped keep momentum alive.
The short daily videos helped. The accountability helped. The chance to share a word count, even a small one, helped. And the steady rhythm of seeing everyone else show up made the whole month feel like a team effort.

I managed to build a daily writing habit, which was one of my biggest goals!
More than hitting a certain word count, I wanted to write every day and establish that routine. I think the biggest lesson I learned is that writing consistently is far more important than the number of words you end up with. And even on the days you can’t write, your mind is still working through ideas. Life happens—you miss days, you need rest, and that’s okay. I definitely need it sometimes. I also realized how much being part of a friendly, supportive community like LegendFiction helped me stay motivated and actually get things done. The hosts and moderators were fantastic. I’m really glad I took part in this challenge.

I liked the encouragement a lot, and posting each day was a little motivation to keep writing. I actually found it helpful to have a friend of mine read what I read each day. I had someone who I could share the story and passion with, and it helped me to want to write more.

Joining LegendFiction’s month-long challenge was honestly the best writing-challenge experience I’ve ever had. The whole community was encouraging, supportive, and really involved. They’re an amazing group of people and writers who are passionate about what they do. I loved the daily check-ins and reading everyone’s updates. Whether someone had a great day or a rough one, there was always support and encouragement from the group.
